WHO WE ARE
Chimimetal has been one of Italy’s and the world’s leading chemical and photoengraving companies since 1997, having taken over the helm from Olivetti and developed state-of-the-art equipment thanks to a production system that keeps up with the times.
Chimimetal has also broadened its field of expertise to include the development of related technologies like laser cutting and combined chemical engraving + laser cutting.
Large takeovers and expertise that is second-to-none have made Chimimetal a global leader in the production of precision parts and manufacturing in a wide variety of sectors:
AUTOMOTIVE
Italian leader in the production of loudspeaker grilles and car customisation tools for BMW, Mercedes, Jaguar, Land Rover and other carmakers.
ELECTRONIC AND MECHANICAL ENGINEERING
We improve the design processes of precision parts with state-of-the-art and functional technologies for professionals, designers and end customers.
DESIGN AND JEWELLERY
We produce decorative accessories for the jewellery industry and for all industrial sectors that require the perfect marriage of aesthetics and technical functionality.
EYEWEAR
From the prototype to mass production, we use chemical photoengraving to make and personalise your glasses, from a logo to the smallest detail.
CHEMICAL PHOTO-ENGRAVING
Chemical photo-engraving or Chemical Photo-cutting, is a state-of-the-art technique which is an alternative to mechanical cutting. This type of processing is based on the controlled removal of the metal (particularly steels and copper alloys) by means of chemical solutions.
LASER CUTTING
Fibre-optic laser cutting is an innovative technique and increasingly used nowadays by companies to achieve a precise cut and a high-quality result. The laser cutting technique involves the use of a beam of radiation cast onto the sheet to be cut: this is filtered by a lens that causes the surface to overheat and leads therefore to fusion. At the same time, a flow of gas from the base of the lens is used, which, through a fluodynamic thrust, generates the actual cutting of the surface depending on the desired incision.
COMBINATION CUTTING
Combining the technology of chemical photoengraving with that of laser cutting is undoubtedly the winning weapon to be able to create products with very complex particular details at the level of graphics and thus be able to satisfy all our customers’ requests.
